We can provide care either within the clients existing home or we can help any prospective client source accommodation, in a location and of a type of their own choosing, depending on their individual circumstances.
We work in conjunction with a number of reputable landlords and housing associations, providing the maximum choice to our clients as to where they want to live. Where prospective clients lack formal capacity to consent to tenancy, we provide full support to the client, carers and family, to enable a choice and best interest decision to be undertaken within the remit of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
We seek to secure high quality accommodation for clients, within their preferred community and all such tenancies will normally be legally held in the clients name on an Assured Shorthold Tenancy, providing security of tenure and providing a secure stable long lasting home.
Our model of care, includes actively promoting the gradual independence of clients living in the community and we do this by gradually reducing our own input into clients care and day to day functioning. We believe it is much easier to reduce support, if there is no disruption in the clients accommodation or community links.
Subject to circumstances and negotiation, we may be also able to offer free stay at the prospective accommodation, during a period of transition, when normally a double cost is incurred for paying for both the institutionalised bed and the bed in the community.
